UGLJEVIČANKA liquor is manufactured in strictly controlled quantities by the Marković family, in ZZ “UGLJEVIK” Company from Ugljevik.

The high-quality liquor is made out of plum, apricot, pear, apple and quince, all grown in orchards at the slops of the Majevica Mountain, at altitude of 900m above sea-level.

Sharp mountain air combined with autochthonous sorts of above mentioned plants make such conditions where growing of plant diseases and parasites is virtually impossible, the use of chemicals as prevention is therefore absolutely  unnecessary and, as such, excluded. We produce our liquor in a traditional manner, following the 300 years old recipe.
For centuries now, people who live under the mountain of Majevica are producing and consuming the plum, apricot, pear, apple, and quince liquor as a part of everyday life. People of the mountain believe that, besides the fresh mountain air and clean water, they owe their long lasting life to a proper use of their liquor.
